Unopened packages are said to have already piled up at her home. “She’s asking for so much that she doesn’t even have time to open half of it.”
Mariah Carey has now amassed a significant fortune – an estimated $340 million – and continues to earn several million dollars each year from her biggest Christmas hit, “All I Want for Christmas is You.” But it will also quickly get rid of that money. Sometimes she spends up to $1 million a month, insiders told the National Enquirer.
While the singer has been more careful with her money, nowadays she’s letting herself go completely. “Of course it was always expensive, but there were limits. These limits are now greatly blurred. They seem to live only to spend money. No price is too high. The more expensive and more exotic it is, the more I like it.”

These include items from luxury brands and champagne that Carey will spend her money on. These serve as gifts for her loved ones, but especially for herself. “Mariah also loves spoiling everyone in her life at Christmas and asks for gifts for this all year long. She has several rooms full of gifts and is incredibly generous, especially with herself,” the source said.
The packages arrive at Carey’s house on the assembly line, the insider continues. The singer was no longer even able to follow through with her request herself. “There are so many packages coming in that she doesn’t even have time to open half of them. This is disgusting! It’s really over and it’s a shame. It’s like she can’t stop.”
