Gwyneth Paltrow Relives Process Surrounding Skiing Accident: ‘I Don’t Know If I’ve Processed It Yet’ | celebrities

celebritiesEarlier this year, Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow (51 years old) was forced to defend herself in court due to a skating accident that occurred in 2016. A debate arose about who was skating against whom. Ultimately, the actress won her lawsuit battle. However, she has not yet fully processed the process. She says this in an interview with the New York Times. “The whole thing was kind of weird.”

“I don’t think I was really aware of it,” she says of the March trial. “Sometimes it takes a long time before I can go back to something and process it and understand it. I don’t know if I’ve processed this yet. This whole thing was kind of weird. It was something that I felt like I had escaped from.”

Gwyneth Paltrow was taken to court by Terry Sanderson, who claimed the actress slipped up on him at Deer Valley Resort in Utah in 2016 before running off and leaving him unconscious. He suffered broken ribs and a brain injury during the collision, but said he also suffers permanent mental damage. Paltrow denied this and claimed that Sanderson bumped into her. The eight jurors agreed with her and awarded her a symbolic dollar in damages.

The “skating operation” was widely welcomed on social media. Nearly thirty million people followed the trial, which was broadcast on the Law & Crime network. Fashion bloggers wrote several articles about Paltrow’s court outfits, and Sanderson’s lawyer was also upset, because she seemed to be very impressed with the Hollywood star, who made the news several times with funny quotes. When asked how the accident affected Paltrow, she responded firmly: “I lost half a day of skiing.” At another point, the actress had to apologize for her language. “This is not my habit,” she told the court.
