Health Alert focuses on alendronic acid cholecalciferol, which fights osteoporosis. In particular, there are several presentations of alendronic acid cholecalciferol manufactured by Pharmathen International S.A. and distributed by Laboratory Stada.

According to the agency, the defect is due to “a mismatched result on a cholecalciferol test.” Therefore, they are taking the measure to remove all the units which have been distributed from the affected batches from the market and return them to the laboratory through the usual channels.
