According to apparently leaked images shared on Tiktok and Twitter, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a brand new volume and mute feature. This could make the smartphone the first iPhone ever without buttons that must be physically pressed.

The images show that the iPhone 15 Pro models no longer have two separate volume buttons. The volume can be adjusted louder and softer with one long button. The toggle to mute the ringtone, which has been a feature of the iPhone since the first version in 2007, will also disappear and be replaced.

According to rumors, you won’t be able to physically press the new “buttons”. It just creates a sense of movement through haptic feedback, as is the case with the iPhone 8 and newer iPhone SE’s Home button.

Apple will likely introduce the full iPhone 15 lineup in September as usual. The regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus (unlike the Pro version) are expected to still have the original volume and mute buttons.
