The league match between Udinese and Roma was stopped early Sunday evening after Roma defender Ivan N'Dika suddenly fell unconscious. The Frenchman was transferred after a long medical intervention, but he was conscious. Ten minutes ago, Romelu Lukaku scored the equalizer for Roma 1-1.
The incident occurred around the 70th minute of the Udinese-Roma match when the score was 1-1. Roma defender Ndika suddenly fell to the ground after feeling pain in his chest.
The 24-year-old Frenchman quickly received medical assistance on the field and was then taken off on a stretcher. He gave a thumbs up to reassure everyone.
Then the match was stopped permanently and will continue at another date. Romelu Lukaku scored the equalizer for Roma with his head in the 64th minute, and Udinese took an early lead with a goal from Roberto Pereira.
Lukaku scored his eleventh goal in the league this season.
