Microsoft is experimenting with a new design for the Open With menu. revamped menu seen On Windows 11 Insider Build 25151.
Instead of the current ‘keep using this app’ and ‘other options’, the list is now split into ‘default app’, ‘suggested apps’ and ‘other options’. Also, options for searching for a program in the Microsoft Store, or locally on your PC, are now displayed separately as a link. As a result, the last option is particularly accessible.
The new design also states whether the specified program will always be used, or only this time. The choices are shown as separate buttons, instead of a check mark and an OK button from Windows 10. Moreover, the menu has finally been given a Windows 11 style.
The revamped “Open With” list is not mentioned in Windows Insider Blog† Also, the list does not appear to have changed for all Insiders. By the way, build 25151 wasn’t very interesting; There were only some bug fixes in Explorer and Start Menu, among other things.
