Sony comes with additional details and a game for the new virtual reality headset – News

At CES, Sony revealed more details about the PS VR2, the successor to the virtual reality headset previously introduced on PlayStation.

Among other things, the name of the device has now been fixed: it will be called PlayStation VR2. It’s the extra hardware your PlayStation 5 needs. On top of that, Sony says it’ll have a higher resolution than its predecessor, with an HDR display of up to 4000 x 2040 pixels. Also new is the eye-tracking feature inside, so you no longer have to put a camera somewhere in the room to follow your movements. The PS VR2 has four built-in cameras that, according to Sony, are used to keep track of your eyes and controllers.

These controllers are called VR2 Sense, but very little is known about them. Sony previously said the consoles will have adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, similar to those on the PlayStation 5, for example. It is not yet known when the device will be launched and how much it will cost.

In addition to the hardware details, Sony has already announced the first game for the PS VR2. It is about the game Horizon Call of the Mountain, a virtual reality game in the Horizon series. Perhaps this means that you will return to the shoes of Aloy, while fighting all kinds of robots with a bow and arrow.
