Although From Software released the fantastic mech Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon last summer, the acclaimed studio is also working on a full expansion for Elden Ring called Shadow of the Erdtree.
Not much is known about the expansion other than the title and that it is in development. There is intense speculation online about when this expansion will be fully revealed and when it will be released.
A trusted software insider named ZioStorm says he’s spoken to multiple sources about Elden Ring DLC. According to his sources, the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion will receive its first gameplay trailer during the Game Awards in December. The expansion is scheduled to be released two months later on February 5, 2024. February is an interesting month, because Elden Ring was also released in February 2022. This means that the DLC will be released exactly two years after the game’s release.
Officially, From Software and publisher Bandai Namco have not announced a release date for the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring. Take the ZioStorm rumor with a grain of salt for now.

Unverified sources tell me that the Elden Ring DLC is scheduled to be shown at The Game Awards with a release date of February 5, 2024.
These sources have shown signs of insight, but nothing concrete. Consider this just a rumor for now. pic.twitter.com/KI1mQIfzMs
