US Justice is suing SpaceX for discrimination

The US Department of Justice has sued the airline, owned by Elon Musk, for discriminating against asylum seekers in its hiring process. SpaceX has allegedly incorrectly claimed several times in job postings and in public statements that it can only hire American employees. As a result, the company did not give people who did not have a residence permit an opportunity to apply, which was against the law. And the US judiciary is now demanding that the court grant asylum seekers and refugees who were deterred or refused financial compensation. Plus she asks for a fine.

In particular, the Department of Justice describes one X message from Musk (formerly Twitter, the social medium he purchased) as discriminatory. Musk states that only people with a US residence permit can work for the space company.

SpaceX, the first commercial entity to fly humans into space, has yet to respond.

Try and go culture

In 2020, two Space X astronauts fly on a rocket to the International Space Station (ISS). This mission was the first American manned spaceflight since 2011. The crew then landed safely off the coast of Pensacola, a coastal city in Florida on the Gulf of Mexico.

The company wants to settle humans on Mars in a permanent colony, and Musk says he wants to achieve that within the next 10 years. The rocket that should achieve this goal, the spacecraft, was launched earlier this year. The disaster occurred a few minutes after launch. The missile started spinning and eventually exploded. The explosion was met with huge applause from the company and CEO Elon Musk. SpaceX will have a “try and go” corporate culture.

The spacecraft is the most powerful rocket ever built by man.
