Sales are interesting in week 47 of 2023, because it was the week of Black Friday and Cyber ​​Monday. In Week 47, EA Sports FC 24 took first place. According to EA, the new soccer game had a better launch than FIFA 23, with 20% of the player population being completely new, so they don’t have a saved game from a previous FIFA game. EA Sports FC 24 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Electronic Arts after separating from FIFA. EA Sports FC features over 30 leagues, over 700 teams, and over 19,000 licensed footballers. Realism and physics just got better this year with HypermotionV, which uses data from over 180 footballers. In the summer of 2024, EA Sports will receive FC 24, a free update for EURO 2024.

Second out of the top five is newcomer Call of Duty Modern Warfare III. This shooter was made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise. The game has a single-player campaign and is a continuation of the story of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II from 2022. In addition, there is a large zombie survival mode and a traditional multiplayer mode where 16 fan-favorite maps from Modern Warfare 2 have been polished for this. the game .

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the third best-selling game in its 47th week. This is a new mainline 2D game where Mario and his friends go on an adventure to the Flower Kingdom instead of the Mushroom Kingdom. The evil Bowser has obtained a magical wonder flower with which he is wreaking havoc all over the world. Mario and his friends are the only hope to put things right again.

In fourth place this week is the racing game Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, a game that has been sold more than 57 million times. That’s a crazy number, because nearly half of Nintendo Switch owners own Mario Kart 8.

Rounding out the top five last week was the open-world Harry Potter spin-off Hogwarts Legacy. This game hasn’t been in the top 5 for a while, and the release of the Nintendo Switch version, which plays remarkably well according to the community, may have helped boost the sales numbers. Black Friday may also have had an impact on the number of sales.
