Burger King gives employee with 27 years of loyal service a ridiculous gift, as people start depositing money en masse

Kevin Ford has 27 years of loyal service at the fast food chain Burger King. And his employer rewarded him for that, too. With a movie ticket, a bag of candy and some ballpoint pens. He didn’t even care but was satisfied with it. But his daughter didn’t think that was possible and started a collection drive. And whether it was successful.

Burger King paid tribute to employee Kevin Ford for his long career in which he rarely took time off and was never absent due to illness. It is also highly appreciated by regular customers.

Then you should expect a nice gift or check. But Ford, who could retire in a few years, had to make do with a movie ticket, a bag of Reese’s Pieces, and some ballpoint pens. “A friendly employer,” he said to himself.

His daughter started the GoFundMe campaign out of indirect shame. Friends, acquaintances, clients and also people who did not know the man deposited money en masse.

Comedian David Spade surprised a hard-working Burger King employee on Thursday with a donation of more than 5,000 euros. He also sent him congratulations and told him to continue for years to come.

His daughter, Serena, said on a GoFundMe account that Kevin Ford joined the company as a single father to obtain custody of his first two children. He remained loyal to Burger King because of the good health insurance they offer their employees.

On Saturday he received the initial status of the collecting campaign. 92,940 euros have already been deposited into the account. “I can’t stop crying,” his daughter says.

Ford wants to use the money to visit his kids ASAP, who he hasn’t seen in a while. He will be faithfully serving at Burger King on Monday as usual.

The management of the hamburger chains says in a short response that they are trying to do everything they can to please the staff. They also say Ford can still expect a premium anyway.
