Match reportCercle Brugge beat Achter de Cazarne 0-2. Goals from top scorer Kevin Dinke and Kazim Olegbe made the difference. KV Mechelen trails by 1 in 18. Cercle Brugge is fully involved at the top.
High voltage behind the barracks. KV Mechelen had to surrender to Cercle Brugge after a poor result of 1 out of 15. Coach Defour threw Bates, Van Hecke and Raemaekers into the fray. The latter had to stop the fight in the first half and was taken away on a stretcher. Cercle coach Muslić brought the expected lineup between the lines.
We had to wait until the 24th minute to threaten the first goal. Popovic headed Seckett’s free-kick onto the crossbar, while at the other end Warlison fell to a Storm ball. Cercle Brugge were the better team in the last fifteen minutes of the first half. Somers curled a shot wide and Van der Bruggen’s effort was saved wide on the goal line by Betts.
Malinoa started the second half more sharply and soon saw a shot from Van Hecke via Warlison hit the post. On the counter-attack that followed, Dinky made the score 0-1. A serious blow to Devore’s forces. Micheline replied. Lauberbach was unlucky to finish the game several times, with Cobbaut’s header blocked by Warleson.
Cercle Brugge took advantage of the space. Olaegbe wrapped Betts up, then the young devil put the leather bone dry into the far corner. Beautiful goal. Only in the last minutes did Michelin threaten again. Lauberbach, face to face with Warlison, missed the equaliser. In the last seconds, Dinky left the score 0-3 with a penalty kick.
This leaves Malinois behind with 1 in 18. With this hat-trick, Cercle Brugge shares second place with Anderlecht, who will host the OHL team tonight.
End of the second half
Denky misses the penalty kick
It quickly became 0-3. After a handball from Vanlerberg, Dinke had the chance for his second goal of the afternoon from the penalty spot. The striker kicked the post but scored on the rebound. Of course this is not allowed.
Lauberbach misses the connecting goal
It’s not Germans’ day. With luck, he only appears with Warleson, the latter coming out on top.
Minda on Vanlerberghe
Micheline must make sure this doesn’t turn into punishment. Denke flicks the ball away from Minda, and the substitute’s effort deflects off Vanlerberg and disappears into the corner.
Felix Lemarchal replaces Alain Minda
Hannes van der Bruggen is replaced by Niels de Wilde
Yellow card for Patrick Pflecki
David Bates is replaced by Jordi Vanlerberg
Nicola Storm is replaced by Norman Bassett
Karim Mrabti is replaced by Patrick Pafloki
0-2 Goal by Kazem Alijibe!
Want books? Olegbe gives Bates a cold and then delicately places the skin in the far corner. Micheline has a serious problem.
The pace slows down a bit
Michelin’s pressure has subsided somewhat. The home team still has 20 minutes.
Yellow card for Hannes van der Bruggen
Yann Gboho is replaced by Kazeem Olaigbe
Hugo Siket replaces Edgaras Otkus
Michelin is not playing a bad second half. Cubot heads after Storm’s corner, and Warleson taps him. The goalkeeper then has to fall to the ground after a shot from Storm.
Yellow card for Hugo Siquet
Luberbach is very weak
The match suddenly gains momentum. Malidi sends Luberbach in with a low cross. The German is completely alone, but ends up very weak.
0-1 goal for Kevin Denke!
The target lies on the other side. Fortunately Denkey gets the ball to Lemaréchal. He once again dispatched his top scorer, who cleverly pushed the 0-1 lead into the net.
Van Hickey on this post
Malina also hit the target. Van Hecke takes a dropped ball in his stride, and Warlison hits the post.
