Tonight kicked off the 40th anniversary of the Cactus Festival at the Minorpark in Bruges.

“Today alone, there are ten thousand festival-goers here,” says the organization. “Because it is so hot – even tonight it will still be about 30 degrees – the Red Cross is on every corner here. People are also allowed to keep their own bottle so they can fill it with potable tap water.”

There are day tickets only for Sunday. Tonight, the festival has been completely sold out for weeks. It is almost certainly due to the hugely popular line-up, with performances from the likes of Goose and Arsenal.
