Manual novelty

Telenet recently launched this: From now on, you can also watch Disney + directly through your Telenet TV box, as well as other streaming services such as Streamz, Netflix and Prime Video. Just a matter of launching the app on your set-top box, and then you can instantly dive into the collection of Disney+ movies and series.

This is undoubtedly useful. You then pay for the subscription to the streaming service via your Telenet bill. But is it also cheaper? Because even though Disney+ still costs less than Netflix, you’re already paying €2 more now for it than when it launched in Belgium in 2020.

Do you watch TV through the application only? This huge savings will come back to you every month.

Is Disney+ cheaper through your TV provider?

Well, not if you just go to subscribe to Disney + via Telenet. Then you pay the normal monthly price of €8.99 for Disney+. However, if you subscribe to two or more Telenet streaming services, you will receive a 5 percent discount on the total cost price. You can choose from Netflix, Streamz, Play More, and now also Disney+.

What about other TV providers?

bee Proximus You can watch Disney + live on the Proximus Android TV Box for €8.99 per month. But it can also be cheaper: at Proximus you will find Disney + in two packs.

On the one hand, via Pickx All Stars, along with Netflix, Pickx +, and Pickx Mix. If you pay it all separately, it will cost you €33.96 per month. For the entire package you only pay €24.99 for the first three months, then €29.99.

On the other hand, you’ll also find Disney+ at Proximus in the Pickx All Stars & Sports bundle, along with Netflix, Pickx+, Pickx Mix, and Pickx Sports. You pay €50.95 per month for that separately. If you take the package, you will pay €34.99 per month for the first three months, then €39.99.

Interested in Disney+ only?

In other words, with packages from Proximus, you’ll get good savings if you want to subscribe to Disney+. At Pickx All Stars & Sports, you can save (more than) the full monthly subscription to Disney+. But then you should be interested in the assortment of different products from the package.

Do you just want to subscribe to Disney + and wonder how you can save on that? Then the most interesting option remains to immediately get an annual subscription to the Disney + streaming service itself. This will cost you €89.90 per year, or €7.49 per month. Good for a 16 percent discount.

The only downside is that you’ll have to find another way to watch Disney+ on your TV, but there are certainly options for that, such as streaming via Chromecast or using the Disney+ app on PlayStation or other consoles.
