JPL Summer Transfers: Racing Genk does another lucrative business with the Thorstvedt Transfer | Jupiler Pro League

Investment House Racing Genk lives up to its name once again. Christian Thorstvedt makes a profitable transfer to Sassuolo, Italy. The Norwegian midfielder came to Limburg two years ago for a fee of 1.5 million. Sassuolo is now said to be paying $10 million for Thorstvedt. He signs a contract there until 2027.

KV Oostende lasts longer with Anton Tanghe. The 23-year-old defender will sign on the coast until 2026. Tanguy moved from Club Brugge in the summer of 2019.

Under the command of Alexander Plessin, Ostend, just like Arthur Theatt, broke through. He played for KVO so far 57 matches, scoring one goal.

Everton Luiz is a defensive midfielder and has previously played for Switzerland (FC Lugano and St Gallen), Serbia (Partizan Belgrade) and Italy (SPAL). He has been playing in MLS with Salt Lake City since January 2019.

“In this competition, the team needs a strong midfield, with players who combine their efforts with technical capabilities,” explained CEO Antoine Gopin.

Alexander Corinne continues his career at SK Beveren. The Challenger Pro League has announced that the 28-year-old left-back has signed a one-season contract with Freethiel. He came from Cercle Brugge, where he had an expired contract.

“Alexander knows our coach and the league very well. When we spoke to him, we saw a player who is very hungry to prove himself on the pitch and be a leader in this team. He will play an important role in our defense this year. We are looking forward to that,” said Antoine Gopin, CEO.

Cory makes an old acquaintance with coach Wim De Decker. Both worked together under De Decker when Antwerp managed to return to the Belgian first division football after 13 years.

Prior to Cercle Brugge and Antwerp, Gentenaar was under contract with Lokeren, making his debut with KV Mechelen.

Vinicius Sousa is leaving the Belgian League after a successful season and will work with Espanyol on a lease basis in La Liga. The 23-year-old Brazilian remains the property of 1B club Lommel. He rented that to KV Mechelen last season.
