Prince William and Catherine arrive at St Giles’ Cathedral for the second “coronation” of King Charles III in Scotland. There they attend a Thanksgiving service where the Scottish Crown Jewels are on display. For the occasion, the Princess of Wales wears a blue gown and Prince William opts for a traditional gown.
Thanksgiving service for King Charles begins in Scotland. While royals from all over the world have been invited to the coronation ceremony in London, the ceremony in Edinburgh is mainly attended by healthcare staff. British National Health Service Existing exactly 75 years today. For the British royal family, this is why the cathedral is filled with people from healthcare. Kate Middleton and Prince William are now among the invited guests.
Kate is again in a royal blue dress
Today Kate wears a dress we saw earlier this year during Easter service. She reused this royal blue Catherine Walker dress for this special occasion in Scotland. However, her head wears a different headdress.

It’s no surprise that the Princess of Wales loves to save and reuse clothes. It’s special though that she’s taking this stunning dress out of her closet again after only a few months. In any case, this sustainable choice suited King Charles quite well. The British Head of State regularly wears an item of clothing several times.
Elizabeth’s poem
Special Catherine jewelry. Around her neck, she wore the four-row pearl and diamond necklace that she inherited from Queen Elizabeth II. The necklace was once lent to Princess Diana, and now the Princess of Wales is allowed to wear the beautiful heirloom again. She actually wore the necklace to Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September last year.
In her ears hung Collingwood pearl earrings, presented to Princess Diana by the jeweler Collingwood. After her death it belonged to Kate, who wore it regularly.
