Kylie Minogue discusses the similarities between herself and Adele in the British newspaper The Sun after she – just like the “Hello” singer – began her own residency in Las Vegas. The Australian began her run of shows at The Venetian on Saturday and will continue until at least May 2024. Adele has been performing at nearby Caesars Palace since November 2022 and recently extended her concert series for the second time until July 2024.
She says Minogue’s Vegas concerts are a lot like Adele’s concerts. She talks about the “intimate” shows, where she interacts a lot with her fans – just like her fellow singer. Adele recently admitted she’s become “a bit talkative” since her Vegas shows. Minogue totally agrees. “I didn’t know Adele said that, but I can understand it. “I love interacting with the audience and I often feel like I have to drag myself along to keep the show going,” Minogue explains.
The Sun also gave a glimpse of her contestant behind the scenes, something very simple for a global star like Kylie Minogue. “I keep it very simple. I don’t need any distractions,” says the singer. Minogue only requires a few basics for her performance. “Here in Vegas, a humidifier is essential,” she begins. But a kettle and coffee maker are also high on her list. Priorities: “A cup of tea at the right time always makes everything better,” says Kylie.
