Mud found in America! Rain makes World Cup circuit a real crossroads | 2023 Cyclocross World Cup

It has been raining in Waterloo for several days, which bodes well for tomorrow’s World Cup matches.

“We had bad weather here the day before yesterday. They are predicting rain until Sunday morning,” said Sven Nice from the US.

The event took place at Trek Cup Waterloo yesterday. Pim Ronhaar and Shirin van Unrooge – both competing for the Paloise Trek Lions team – won the training for the World Cup circuit.

Van Unruij had Joe Backstedt and Manon Baker behind him. Ronhaar defeated fellow American Eric Brunner.

For men, the top players qualified for the C2 tournament. In the women’s race, world champion Fem van Embel and runner-up Buck Peters were out.

The Cyclocross World Cup starts tomorrow/Sunday in the USA. The decor is bicycle manufacturer Trek’s base in Waterloo.
