Nine hours after emergency surgery, Milo Meskins returns to stage: ‘After four songs my voice is broken’ | Ltd

LtdTalk about dedication. Barely nine hours after 28-year-old Milo Meskens underwent emergency surgery last weekend, he was back on the podium. The singer says this on social media.

In a lengthy text, Milo describes what happened last Saturday. He begins his story: “I ended up in the hospital after I woke up in the middle of the night suffering from severe stomach pain.” “After several tests and examinations, the doctors came to the verdict: the appendix must be removed immediately.” The operation took place around noon, but a solo acoustic performance was scheduled for 9pm that same evening. “The first doctor said it was irresponsible to let this continue, but the surgeon said a lot depends on how much pain I’m in. “It’s going to hurt a lot anyway,” he added.

Because Milo did not want to disappoint his fans, he decided to grit his teeth. He continues, “Everyone who knows me knows that I don’t give up easily.” “So I stumbled onto the stage to do my best. After the first song I showed the audience the bandage around my stomach and told them what happened. After four songs I had to throw in the towel. My voice cracked – I don’t know if it was from the pain, or from the feelings of having to disappoint the audience, Or the absurdity of the situation.

Melo will take it easy over the next couple of weeks. “I’ll take some time for myself,” he concludes. Unfortunately, he has to postpone his show at Heist-op-den-berg on October 17. The rest can continue as planned.
