The far-right Flemish nationalist group Schild & Friends (S&V) shares a screenshot of a post in an internal PVDA Facebook group on its Facebook page. The photo shows two chairs that appear to be soiled with the remains of human feces. According to Schild and friends, the photo was taken at a meeting of the Far-Left Party on May 1 in Ronse. this is not true. The image has been circulating since at least 2022, and has been linked to various American events and groups in the past.

The screenshot was shared by, among others, the far-right and Flemish nationalist group Shield and friends. “PVDA meeting on May 1 in Ronse” can be read on the S&V Facebook page. The post was shared by 14 other accounts.

The photo was also shared by someone Other Facebook page It appeared in a number of Dutch subforums (hereAnd here). A screenshot of one of the posts was shared on Reddit by A English X account Shared again.

But was the photo actually taken at the PVDA event in Ronse on May 1?

When was the photo shared?

A number of screenshot elements raise questions. For example, part of the group name and the name of the person who posted the photo became unrecognizable.

Additionally, there is a black padlock next to the date the post is supposed to be published. This means that the message is only visible to the person who posted it. So the person who shared the photo may have taken the screenshot himself and made his name unknown.

On social networking sites BFDA We find that an event has already been organized in Ronse on May 1st for the PVDA section of the Flemish Ardennes region. The photos only show a procession and no mention is made of any event that occurred inside or while seated.

We insert the image into Google Lens to determine the origin of the screenshot. We found out Reddit Post from five months ago. The photo certainly couldn’t be taken at the May 1st event. The caption in English indicates that the photo was not taken in Flanders.

In another post on Reddit We find a screenshot of a tweet showing a reduced version of the image. The photo shared by Schild & Friends likely contains a cropped version of the original photo. Find the tweet at X.

The original image was shared by the English-language account @SBakabella on July 25, 2022. This account mainly shares content about wrestling and wrestling matches. We can’t find any old posts for the image.

The image is regularly re-shared across American accounts. The image has been used in the past… WWEthe American Republicans And Various award offers To discredit.
