Pelt: Pelt delivers the electric car (September 15, 2021)

Pelt: Pelt delivers the electric car (September 15, 2021)

The municipality of Bilt is organizing two initiatives during Mobility Week, which this year will take place from 16 to 22 September. Additional space is temporarily provided for cyclists and Peltenaren can now rent a shared electric car.

A private car takes up a lot of our public space. However, the call for more green space and a space for relaxation and meetings is getting louder. For this reason, under the banner of occupying the space until September 29, two parking spaces at Marktplein and at Dorpsstraat will be converted into additional bicycle sheds. This will create more space and attention for pedestrians and cyclists. After all, the street is accessible to everyone and certainly also to vulnerable road users.

Pelt is now working to offer an electric vehicle as a shared vehicle. Everyone can use it. The car has a permanent place at the station in Nierbilt. On Saturday, September 18, you can participate in an introductory meeting on the use of the shared electric vehicle from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

You can rent the car via a handy app. You will learn how to use the app and then the shared vehicle during the moment of application.
