NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said NATO must “stabilize and increase” its support for Ukraine. He expects several announcements in this area from member states during the summit. Stoltenberg says that if Ukraine can defend itself against these types of Russian attacks thanks to Western arms supplies, the Ukrainian economy will also continue to perform well. This puts Kiev in a better position to maintain and strengthen its own military.
