Sunscreen should definitely not be missing in your bag if you go somewhere warm. But do sunscreens always provide adequate protection? The Consumers Association points out that this is often not the case with facial sunscreens.
the Consumers Association Thirteen sunscreens formulated specifically for the face were tested. In five cases, the protection appeared less than stated on the package. All of the face creams tested should have a factor of 50, but they scored a measly factor of 39, 33 and 31. So not quite what you want. This concerns creams of brands Nivea, Biotherm and Lancaster.
Why sunscreen especially for your face?
The version made for your face is different from the regular version, because it is absorbed more quickly, making your skin less oily and less shiny. As a result, they are often unfortunately much more expensive.

Other retail chains
Many major retail chains also manufacture their sunscreens specifically for the face. This includes brands such as HEMA, Etos, Kruidvat and Action. Their products were not included in this test because they recently changed the formula.
