Tom Weiss, best known as host of “The Story of Flanders” and other popular shows, celebrated his 55th birthday this week. In honor of this special occasion, his employer VRT put him in the spotlight in a special way.
Wes reached this milestone on November 7, and public broadcaster VRT did not want to let this day go unnoticed. They have chosen a unique and personal gift for the birthday presenter.
According to a message on VRT’s Instagram page, Waes was presented with a special gift. “We got the perfect gift for our birthday Tom Wes,” they shared with a video of the presentation. The gift was a photo frame titled “93:33 Bosuilstadium,” which symbolizes a special moment for Weiss.
The photo shows the huge celebration of the fans of Royal Antwerp, who became national champions again after 66 years. This victory led to ecstatic scenes among the fans at Boswell Stadium. As an ardent supporter of Antwerp, Wes was very pleased with this gift. “So I was there. Happiest moment of the year,” he said.
