Former US President Donald Trump believes that “all bases must be thrown into the sea” in order for him to be declared the winner of the 2020 elections.
On the social network Truth Social he created, Donald Trump repeated his baseless accusations Saturday that the election results were rigged and wrote that the Constitution should be amended if necessary.
Will you ignore the results of the 2020 elections and announce the correct winner, or will you organize new elections? He said that a massive fraud of this kind and scale justifies the abolition of all rules, all regulations and articles, even those of the Constitution.
The White House immediately condemned Trump’s remarks. Speaker Andrew Bates said the attack on the Constitution was “unacceptable” and should be seen as “an attack on the soul of our country”. He went on to say, “You can’t only love America when it wins.”
Trump announced last month that he is running for the 2024 election. That year there will be a Republican primaries and then a presidential election. Trump’s announcement came shortly after the midterm elections. Which disappointed Republicans in the past. On the Republican side, reference is made to Trump and the candidates he has put forward.
