Trump now also has a suit from his arrest photo on display: €4,300 a piece | outside

The photo of the arrest of Donald Trump (77 years old) did not cause any harm to the former US president. From mugs to t-shirts, everything is selling out fast. However, it appears that the cow has not yet been dry milked. Meanwhile, Trump cut the blue suit and red tie he wore in the police photo into pieces and put them up for sale.

Donald Trump was briefly detained on August 24 on suspicion of trying to tamper with the results of the 2020 election in the state of Georgia. The so-called “mugshot,” meaning an arrest or police photo, was then taken at the Atlanta jail. Trump was wearing an elegant suit: a blue suit, a white shirt, and the well-known red tie. His campaign team immediately saw opportunities to capitalize on this. And it worked. There have been calls for donations, and plenty of merchandise has been on the market, such as mugs, posters, t-shirts, and most recently – Christmas stockings. All of this raised millions.

But there could always be something more, his entourage must have thought so. The suit he was wearing during his arrest must now be worn out. “It was a good suit, believe me, a really good suit. We cut it all into pieces, and you get a piece of it,” Trump himself said in a promotional video.

To obtain such a piece of suit or tie, fans must first purchase at least 47 “digital trading cards” on a website for $99 (90 euros) each, all of which have Trump’s image on them. They then receive a physical card containing a piece of the infamous “mugshot suit,” sometimes also bearing Trump’s signature. According to the site, this uniform is “the most historically important artifact in the history of the United States” and cannot be put “without price” on it. Although they do it themselves: $4,653 or (currently) €4,263 for those 47 digital photos, plus some additional costs. In addition to a piece of Trump’s arrest suit, you can also join the man at a table at Mar-a-Logo, his residence in Palm Beach, Florida, during an exclusive dinner party.

It’s actually Trump’s third series of NFT cards. In December 2022, a collection of 45,000 trading cards was sold for a total of approximately $4.4 million (€4 million). According to Forbes, Trump himself would have received between 100,000 (more than 90,000 euros) and 1 million dollars (900,000 euros) from it.

Business Insider warns candidates for mugshot version of the small print of Trump cards. It states that if the fashion item cannot be delivered “due to an issue,” buyers will have to accept a “limited edition Trump NFT collection” instead.
