The US government should do more research on the effects of restrictions on exports to China for the chip industry.
Top executives from the three largest chipmakers in the U.S. told the White House, insiders tell the news agency Bloomberg. According to sources, drivers have also requested rest before the new restrictions are imposed.
Pat Kelsinger (Intel), Jensen Huang (NVIDIA) and Cristiano Amon (Qualcomm) met in Washington on Monday. There, they pointed out to government officials that export restrictions threaten to damage America’s share of the global chip industry.
