Was “Desperate Housewives” fertile ground for arguments? Eva Longoria responds to the rumors for the first time | television

Desperate Housewives wasn’t the only show that was plagued by feud rumors over the years. It’s a story that’s often invented by an all-female crew, Longoria says on the “Armchair Expert” podcast. “At the time there were a lot of TV series with men in them, but no one ever wondered if there was a lot of fighting out there,” he said.

Longoria’s colleagues — Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Brenda Strong, and Nicollette Sheridan — knew well how to handle such allegations. “They all had a better handle on fame and rumors,” Longoria recalls. “I was like, ‘People say we’re fighting.’ They were like, ‘That’s just something they make up about women over 40 doing a show together.’ I wasn’t very smart at the time.”

Eva and her colleagues were aware of the spread of rumors, but they did not let them interfere in the middle of the hard work. “We were so deep in the bubble. We had no knowledge of what was happening outside of the show,” she explains. However, this also meant that the cast were not always aware of the success of the show. “Neither good nor bad passed because we were working “And I was exhausted.”
