Bava Festival with three stages and 14 hours of music in Torhout

Three stages and a total of 14 hours of fun music and dance in a unique atmosphere. In short, this is the first Legendary Pava Reunion, which will take place from the afternoon of Saturday 8th July at 4pm until the morning of Sunday 9th July at 6am in the Place2Party disco field in Roeselaarseweg. The organizer is Yves Delbeke of White Label Projects.

Yves, who lives in Vichte, hopes that at least a thousand people will come to the festival, which, in addition to performing live with Jessy, has several well-known DJs on the bill.

“The entry fee is only €30, which is very democratic for the large group and big names we serve,” he says. “It’s the first edition, so it remains to be seen how things play out. But in any case, we’re confident we’ll find our permanent place in the world of festivals.”

Yves knows the DJ world like the back of his hand, because he himself has been playing for 30 years. Among other things, he was the DJ at the legendary Pavarotti’s discotheque house in Ingelmunster, which was simply called Pava. Over time, Pavarotti was renamed the Revolution and eventually the Verso, although many continue to refer to it as the Pava. In 2017, the curtain fell relentlessly. The building where many celebrated late at night has now been demolished.

Also a stage for local DJs

“During the festival in Torhout, we want to revive the unique atmosphere of the past,” says Yves. “We took no opportunity to present a program to tell you. With three platforms. The main stage It will be located outdoors near the Place2Party car park. Parking lot is still easy to get to. Many of the DJs who come to play have played in large dance tents or are still there. Even outside the discotheque, Stage Two will stand on the site of the current summer bar. Local DJs will be playing from 4pm until midnight. “This way we want to give young talents opportunities,” Yves continues. “We create the tropical atmosphere of Ibiza on the so-called Ibiza stage. I have always had a soft spot for good DJs who are not yet known by the general public. Giving them space to perform at the festival is a boost for them and an opportunity to grow. I am convinced that the podium will appeal to many” .

Pamper visitors

The third stage is indoor stage at the disco. There, the music plays for another six hours from midnight: until 6 o’clock in the early morning.

“Where else can you find 14 hours of enjoying music and dancing for barely 30 euros?” asks Eve. “I see much higher prices in many other similar festivals. For the first edition of this event, we are not interested in making big profits. We want to pamper the audience at any cost.”
