Week 16 of 2024 These toys were the best sellers in Belgium last week

Every week the Belgian Video Games Federation (VGFB) brings us a list of the top 5 best-selling games in Belgium.

In Week 16 of 2024, the top five are almost completely different than they were a week ago, mainly due to the success of the live-action Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime. After Paramount's disappointing Halo series, expectations for Fallout weren't high, but the showrunners remained very loyal to video games.

The show was a huge success. Pre-production for season 2 has already begun. The TV series has greatly increased the hype around the games. That's why Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 were the #1 and #2 best-selling games respectively last week in Belgium. Fallout 76 is an open-world multiplayer game that you can play with friends. Fallout 4 is a single-player RPG that also received a free next-gen upgrade from Bethesda Game Studios last week. This way you can dive into the Wasteland on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series console and enjoy better graphics and performance.

In third place is GTA V, a game that has been selling fantastically for 10 years. In fact, GTA V still outsells many new games from major studios. GTA V is now very close to achieving 200 million copies sold. No premium game comes close to GTA V's numbers. GTA 6 may also not be able to match GTA V's impressive numbers.

In fourth place is newcomer: No Rest for the Wicked from developer Moon Studios. This is a game made by the people behind the amazing Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Whisps. However, No Rest for the Wicked is not a platformer but a challenging RPG. Many call it Dark Souls, but with the camera view of Diablo. No Rest for the Wicked is now playable in Early Access. Full release will be released later. The game will also be released on consoles.

Helldivers 2 ranked fifth on the list of best-selling games last week. The live-service game has been a huge success for Sony and developer Arrowhead Game Studios. In Helldivers 2 you play a soldier who must protect Super Earth from evil aliens on distant planets. You do this by invading surrounding planets with other players and fending off aliens. Helldivers 2 can be played on PC and PlayStation 5. The developer constantly releases updates that include new threats, as well as new ways to fight the enemy. For example, machines were recently added to the game.
