Billie Eilish gives mental health update: ‘It’s getting better, but it’s not great’ | celebrities

celebritiesBillie Eilish, 21, has been struggling with her mental health for a long time. The pop star had previously admitted that she was suffering from depression. In an interview with Allure’s “Best of Beauty,” she gave an update on that dark period. “The situation is improving, but it is still not good.”

Billie Eilish has gone through a very difficult period. She has long struggled with the pressure and loneliness that accompany her success. Although she feels somewhat better, she admits that she still experiences negative thoughts and anxious feelings regularly. “I should dare to let go more.”

“When I was a teenager, I thought I had found who I really was: These are my limits, these are the things that make me happy, and these are my recipe for my music career and my happiness,” the pop star said. “As I got older, I suddenly realized this wasn’t going to work. That I wasn’t that person anymore.”

The singer thought about this regularly. But in Paris, she suddenly receives a message that she will never forget. “At one point I was in Paris and I wasn’t feeling really good,” she explains. “Suddenly, a motorcycle pulled up next to our car. I looked at his helmet and there was a clear message: ‘Keep going,’ and I took that message with me.”

“Why were you created?”

“What were you created for?” is Billie Eilish’s new hit song, in which she describes her own thoughts. She revealed this during an interview. “The day I was writing this song, I said, ‘What are we doing?’ Why are we doing this?” Then Billie and her brother and collaborator Finneas O’Connell let their thoughts guide them. “The song almost seems to write itself. We’ve all been inspired by a character we’ve seen in front of us. And then I realized that I was the main character in the song.” The song also resonates with the general public, and makes Billie realize that “it’s not just about her, it’s that a lot of people feel this way.”
