Robert Plant and Alison Krause had to cancel their show twenty minutes before they were to show at the Bruges Cactus Festival, according to our on-site editor. Krause has the flu and her vocal cords don’t tighten.
Covid has already killed The Regrettes and Clairo in Rock Werchter, a throat infection that has kept Sam Fender off the stage. Also at Cactus Festival, the leaderboard had to cancel, this time due to the flu. Star duo Robert Plant and Allison Krause would ensure a magical evening at Minwater Park together, but Krause had to apologize that her vocal cords aren’t pulling her.
“We are very sorry to cancel tonight’s show. Unfortunately, Alison Krause has contracted the flu virus that has infected her vocal cords and is unable to sing,” the festival said in a statement. Krause has reportedly tested negative for Covid-19 twice.
