The storm hitting southern China has killed at least seven people. Dozens of crocodiles also escaped from one of the farms, prompting local residents to advise them to stay in their homes.
Chinese media reported that more than seventy crocodiles escaped from a farm in the coastal city of Maoming, Guangdong Province.
According to a government official, there are 69 adults and six juveniles. Media said that some were arrested, but the rescue operation was complicated by heavy rain and the depth of the lake in which they were. There have been no reports of attacks by animals so far.

Seven people were killed and three others were missing to the west after multiple landslides caused by heavy rains in the city of Yulin in the Guangxi region, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Last week’s rain also caused severe flooding in Hong Kong, killing two people.
