Perhaps the main difference is the refresh rate. Google’s tablet clocks at 60Hz, which means pixels are refreshing 60 times per second. The OnePlus Pad has a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, so it feels smoother.

The OnePlus Pad comes standard with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The same goes for the Pixel Tablet, but you can also get it with 256GB of storage if desired. Of course you pay more for it.

3. Accessories

OnePlus released two optional accessories at the same time as the tablet: a keyboard with a trackpad, which turns the tablet into a notebook, and a stylus. You can use it to make graphics on the screen. With this, OnePlus has put together the classic total package for a tablet, which is of course reminiscent of Apple’s ecosystem.

Google takes a completely different path. There is no official keyboard cover for the Pixel Tablet and the stylus is also missing. Instead, you get a dock with which you can charge the device and which also has a built-in speaker. This combination is very reminiscent of the Google Nest Hub. You can easily use your tablet to control your smart home.

4. Battery life and charging

In our review of the OnePlus Pad, we were very pleased with the battery life. We haven’t been able to test the Pixel Tablet yet, but Google promises you can stream video for about 12 hours before it plugs in. This is a nice result.

Unfortunately, the Pixel Tablet’s maximum charging speed is only 18W. If you’re using the included dock, that’s only 15W. The OnePlus Pad fills up the battery faster: by no less than 67 Wh. So it fills up much faster. You should arrange the adapter by yourself, because it is not included in the box.

5. Pricing and software

It is somewhat difficult to compare the prices of both devices. OnePlus panel costs 499 euroswhile you go to the Pixel Tablet 679 euros Lost.
