The dazzling semi-final of “The Masked Singer” is over. In total, there were four characters left: Hippo, Raven, Champignon, and Magician. They all sang two songs. Tovinar startled everyone by suddenly singing in Dutch. Is it a real Dutch accent? Is it Duncan Lawrence or Aaron Plumert? Even with his second appearance, this number did not disappoint, on the contrary. Tovinar pulled everything new with Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now”. Raf came out with “Strong” by London Grammer and sang on the rooftop to Emily Sande’s “Hurts”. The commission is sure: this is a very strong singer, and they would like to come to a concert from him.

Who is this cute mushroom? This question has been burning on everyone’s lips for weeks. Also with detective board. Could it be Wesley Sonic? A bold choice that was highly appreciated by the committee. Unfortunately, this week the decision was entirely in the hands of the public. Kevin Janssens has stated that they do not want to make a decision. This costs Hippopotamus his head (or mask).

Who was hiding behind the mask? That was the Flemish actor Boris van Severen (34). “I loved the hippopotamus suit! I loved every second of it,” said Burris. “From standing here on that platform and being able to feel that suit. An incredible experience. I was hesitant at first, but now I really don’t understand why.”
