Leon Stendler Expects Big Fun in America After Netherlands Debacle and Bierenstein’s Debacle

Leon Stendler thinks soccer fans in America had a blast during the World Cup match between the Netherlands and Spain. Lynette Bierenstein, who has been a vocal critic of the United States, missed out on the game.

Ahead of the World Cup quarterfinals, Behrenstein said the U.S. was a “big mouth” before being knocked out by Sweden in the round of 16. “What did I think when they left? Yes! Bye America,” Bierenstein said. “You have to show it in previous games before you talk.”

She now takes those words back like a boomerang, because a mistake by Behrenstein eliminated Orange.Germany in April (0-1 loss). “There are times when you think: Give it a go. We’re used to her doing a good thing and then finishing badly or not making the right choice.”

“He points out that Americans should let their feet do the talking before they start talking…I think those Americans are making a clip of Lynette Behrenstein. If I were one of those Americans I would do that.”

Trailing 1-0 in the closing stages of regulation time, Beerenstein missed two good chances. She could breathe a sigh of relief as Stephanie van der Gracht scored and pulled a stretch out of the fire. In that extra time, the attacker missed two more chances, after which Spain took the game to themselves.
