Lize Feryn and Aster Nzeyimana reunited weeks later, though the reunion didn’t go smoothly

Lizzie Ferrin and Aster Nziemana haven’t been seeing each other much lately. Liz left for South Africa some time ago. She has a modeling stint there for two months. Her partner, Aster Nzimana, traveled to Qatar more than three weeks ago to report on the World Cup for public radio.

But Liz and Esther saw each other again last Sunday. The meeting place was Cape Town Airport in South Africa. On her Instagram page, Lize Feryn wrote: “Wow! Finally reunited with Aster tonight.”

But everything went less smoothly than expected. First, there was heavy rain on the way to the airport. Liz was in an Uber at the time. But her car had an accident. No one was hurt, but Liz had to go down in the pouring rain, which washed away her makeup as well. “I Special Beautifully made,” Liz writes under the bewildered selfie.

And it’s not over yet. Because shortly thereafter, her bank card was swallowed by an airport ATM, with the message: “Moini Gharib, don’t trust. The criminal wants your card and money, right?”

But the most important thing was not thwarted: Liz and Esther fell into each other’s arms at the airport.
