look. Russian propaganda warns on state television that nuclear war is ‘inevitable’ | Ukraine-Russia war

“It will happen, there’s no doubt about that.” Russian preacher Vladimir Solovyov (60 years old), who has close relations with Vladimir Putin, believes that nuclear war is “inevitable,” but it will not lead to the demise of humanity. He said this during a debate on a Russian state channel.

In a recent debate on Russian state television, Vladimir Solovyov (60 years old), presenter of the “Russia-1” program, did not rule out the outbreak of a nuclear war. According to Russian propaganda, it is even “inevitable.”

He justified his position by saying that a nuclear attack would not cause widespread casualties and destruction if it were “used against a non-nuclear state,” perhaps a reference to the current invasion of Ukraine.

When Vitaly Tretyakov, a Russian journalist and dean of the Faculty of Television at Lomonosov State University, expressed his desire to ensure that a nuclear war would not occur, Solovyov disagreed.

“Nuclear war is a means to an end,” says Solovyov. “It achieves a purpose, and not every nuclear war leads to destruction.”

Solovyov was referring to World War II, in which the US military launched atomic attacks on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. Tretyakov argued that this was not a nuclear war in the traditional sense. “Why not? Nuclear weapons have been used,” Solovyov replies.

The Russian promoter also made it clear that nuclear weapons are already an option for the Russian military. “Everyone in the army is studying the use of tactical nuclear weapons,” Solovyov continues firmly. “They know and understand how and where (it can be used, ed.).”

Not the first time

The use of nuclear weapons is something that Russian President Putin had previously threatened, and sparked anger within NATO, but it has not yet been implemented due to the nuclear arsenal possessed by NATO members, including the United States.

This is also not the first time that Solovyov or other Russian propagandists have threatened nuclear war as the military situation in Ukraine worsens. He said last week that Russia would use nuclear weapons “immediately” in the event of a conflict with NATO.
