New season of “Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars” on Discovery

New season of “Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars” on Discovery

Antiques dealer Drew Pritchard and car dealer Paul Cowland share a passion for classic cars and a mission to restore dilapidated vehicles to their former glory. Of course also profit-motivated, so they’ll have to buy fixer-uppers sharp and restore them smartly.

With the first car of this new season of “Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars,” they’re taking their biggest financial risk yet. It is this rare Jensen Interceptor Mk III that will eventually become its most expensive restoration ever. Drew and Paul bought the iconic car in 2018, but they simply didn’t have the budget to get started right away. The car turned out to be so rusty that it had to get a whole new body. And that for a car they have already paid more than 20 thousand euros for. No expense is spared, so that the car ends up looking so beautiful it looks like it came straight from the factory. Can they just make a profit from it?

In this new season, they’re also retrofitting the rejected Peugeot 205, upgrading the poor man’s Porsche 914 into a luxury vehicle and converting a Volkswagen tractor into a lifestyle vehicle. They are also restoring their most exciting car yet for a prestigious competition show, according to Drew: the Lancia Fulvia.

“Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars” premieres Thursday, August 24 at 9:30 PM on the Discovery Channel.
