PropertyTaylor Swift, 33, may have many famous girlfriends, but Meghan Markle, 41, is clearly not one of them. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Duchess of Sussex invited the American singer via a handwritten letter to take part in her now-dropped ‘Archaetypes’ podcast. Apparently Swift himself didn’t feel like it.
The Wall Street Journal also wrote that Taylor Swift didn’t even bother to respond to Meghan Markle’s request. For example, a spokesperson for the American singer would decline the request in her stead. Moreover, there are no rematches, because streaming platform Spotify has now pulled the plug on Megan’s “Archaetypes” podcast.
In mid-June, it was announced that Spotify had ended its collaboration with Archewell Audio, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s production company. The contract was broken by mutual agreement. That was in the press release for the streaming service and the newlyweds. “Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually decided to part ways. We are proud of the series we made together.”
Strange thoughts
According to an inside source, Harry and Meghan’s collaboration with Spotify has not gone smoothly for several reasons. For example, the Duchess of Sussex failed to find the “right guests” for her podcast. The content provided was also not immediately in line with the agreed amount. The value of the contract between the streaming giant and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was probably around $20 to $25 million.
The lack of interesting guests wasn’t the only problem. “Meghan often asked me to make some changes at the last minute,” said an employee of the livestreaming platform. “I called the producers on a regular basis. Then I forced them to change certain things.” In addition, according to some employees, the couple also needed a very long time to develop certain concepts. Prince Harry’s thoughts have often been too strange for words. For example, the British monarch could have suggested interviewing Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, and Mark Zuckerberg about their childhood traumas, among others.
