The abuses Jonathan denounces are often horrific

Yesterday I watched four episodes of Worst rated show Shown in the GoPlay app. I thought it sounded like a good idea from presenter Jonathan Medart to look for hotels, snack bars, shops and other establishments with bad reviews on Google Reviews, then see if it’s really as bad as people say it is. It’s also been a long time since I’ve watched a TV show where rogue traders are ambushed by a camera crew, so I once again felt like a “schadenfreude TV show”.

Jonatan also seems to be a sympathetic guy who can explain it very well, which is perhaps not surprising when you learn that he has become famous on TikTok. I am sure that young people will love to watch this program, especially since each episode is less than fifteen minutes long.

The abuse Jonathan denounces is often horrific! It’s never a good idea to book a hotel or vacation home room only to discover that the pillows in some places are still soaked in bodily fluids from previous guests. You also don’t like walking into a store where you risk being talked about ignorantly by the owner because you’re taking a selfie with one of his wares. If that is no longer allowed, then say? Or there in Antwerp, where a courier arrives on a speeding motorbike from a pita shop with cold hair salon and wilted French fries. In a way, it’s good that Jonatan highlights these shortcomings, because we generally accept a lot of bad services.

On the one hand, I think it’s naive to book a room in a two-star hotel in Brussels, and then expect that you won’t be lying in someone else’s fecal matter and/or increased fluids. I also think Jonathan may be a little good in his confrontations with the owners of those shops, but he certainly doesn’t do it badly for a young man. I also think Luk Alloo needed some practice in the beginning.

In general, I am more or less satisfied with it Worst rated show. It’s a nice experience if you can enjoy light and casual TV. But I don’t think I will watch this program again, and I won’t recommend this program to friends. I think it’s great that software makers can make a little mockery of themselves with their own software Worst rated show to name. But I recently had to Ex on the beach And Million Dollar Island I have to watch, so I’m used to much worse. So I would say: if there is an audience for it, go for it!

It appears in the GoPlay app.
