Van Bommel is not surprised by the starting lineup against Charleroi Jupiler Professional League 2023/2024

The Antwerp setting has no surprises. Van Bommel retains confidence in the same line-up he played against Eupen, when Antwerp came out with great force. This means that Balikwesha and Moga start on the wing, so Kirk is on the bench.

It will be important for coach Mark van Bommel to let the players focus on one game at a time. The Dutchman does not want to hear his players’ dreams about the Champions League match against Porto.

“The motivation has to come from within you, no matter who the opponent is,” he says. “As a coach, you have to set an example by preparing for every match down to the smallest detail.”
