But now, fifteen years later, Spears is making her comeback. “Zoey 101” will get a sequel movie: “Zoey 102.”
Those who spent their youth on Nickelodeon, undoubtedly remember “Zoey 101”. The series about Zoey Brooks, played by Britney Spears’ little sister, and her classmates at the Pacific Coast Academy, was one of the most popular shows on the channel. And now Nickelodeon has a reboot ready in movie form, which will be released this summer at Paramount+ in America.
“Zoey 101” was at the height of its popularity when Jamie Lynn Spears announced that she was pregnant in 2007. She was barely 16 years old, which is something the kid-friendly channel Nickelodeon didn’t like. The announcement of the pregnancy followed a shock wave: Concerned parents and the media were slamming Spears, who was supposed to be a symbol of good children. Nickelodeon forced to pull the plug on Zoey 101 and aired its final episode in 2008, marking the end of Jamie Lynn’s acting career.

But now everything seems to be forgiven and forgotten. Jamie Lynn reprises the role of Zoe. In the new movie, everyone gathers again for a wedding. In addition to Zoe, the characters of Quinn Penske (Erin Sanders), Chase Matthews (Sean Flynn), Logan Rhys (Matthew Underwood), Michael Barrett (Christopher Massey), Stacey Dillson (Abby Wilde) and Marc Del Figgalo (Jack Salvatore) also return in “Zoe 102.”
Whether the movie will appear on our streaming services, and where and exactly when, is not yet known.
