“I think Meghan had no idea what was expected of her after marrying Prince Harry. I think she thought she was going to be riding on a golden bandwagon. That it was going to be some sort of acting job,” Glenconner begins. A childhood friend of Queen Elizabeth admits on the podcast that performing royal duties can be very boring. “It’s basically about meeting hundreds and thousands of people that you’ll never see again. Plus, the royals have to pretend to be happy. They’re all pretending,” she explained.
