In 2022, the United States became the largest foreign investor in Morocco, which for many years was held by France. Private investments have increased sharply in the last two years.
By 2022, the US has committed to 30% of foreign investment in Morocco, with more than 7.4 billion dirhams in projects. In this figure, the United States surpassed France, previously the largest foreign investor in Morocco, with 3.3 billion dirhams. Huffington Post.

Besides the United States and France, the largest investors in the Kingdom are the United Kingdom with 2.9 billion dirhams, the United Arab Emirates with 2.5 billion dirhams and the Netherlands with 1.54 billion dirhams.

Together these five countries represent 80.8% of foreign investment in Morocco. Manufacturing (43%), real estate (25%) and finance and insurance (11%) sectors benefited the most from these investments.
