The iPad Pro 2024 looks more like a MacBook than ever before

The iPad Pro 2024 looks more like a MacBook than ever before

The 2024 iPad Pro is undergoing a major revamp, making it look quite similar to the MacBook. This is mainly due to the new Magic Keyboard.

iPad Pro 2024

The iPad Pro is getting a big upgrade next year — and it’s about time. The current design was introduced in 2018 and hence is very durable. It’s even a little reminiscent of the iPad mini, which has been around for nine years.

First, the iPad Pro 2024 comes in slightly different sizes: 11-inch and 13-inch. This gives the Large model the largest screen ever in an iPad – and for the first time, that screen is the size of a MacBook (Air). Plus, the display gets a big upgrade: For the first time, the iPad Pro has an OLED display with high contrast and vivid colors.

New magic keyboard

The aforementioned rumors have been circulating for a while, but according to Apple analyst Mark Gurman, there’s another big improvement coming. This has to do with the Magic Keyboard. This adds an additional keyboard, trackpad, and charging port to the iPad Pro.

According to Gorman, a new Magic Keyboard will be released at the same time as the 2024 iPad Pro, with its interior made of aluminum for the first time. This makes it look more like a MacBook keyboard. There’s also the possibility that the Magic Keyboard will finally have function keys – although Gurman hasn’t said anything about that.

An expensive joke

The new Magic Keyboard will likely be more expensive than the current version due to its higher build quality. That’s a tough pill to swallow, because you’re already spending €369 on the Magic Keyboard – and even €429 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro version.
